Please join us as the Russian American Cultural Center presents a bilingual poetry reading by Alexander Militarev. Mr. Militarev will present both the original verse and new Russian translations of poems by Emily Dickinson and Rudyard Kipling and sonnets by William Shakespeare.

Poet and translator, linguist and cultural anthropologist in Jewish, Biblical, Semitic, Near Eastern and African studies.   Author of over 150 publications, among them: Semitic Etymological Dictionary. Vol. I (2000) and II (2005). Ugarit-Verlag. Münster Myth Come True  (The "Jewish Idea" in Civilization). Moscow, 2003 (in Russian), The Jewish Conundrum in World History,  Academic Studies Press (Brighton, MA), 2010.

Regina Khidkel, RACC director, is the curator of the Russian Reading Series at Yorkville Library.
